It was the romantic imagery of Jesus that stared my cynicism of churches.

My gran was from Nazareth... have tried to trace my family ancestry but could not find a carpenter or shepherd...all doctors and lawyers!

I am intrigued by the word saviour - saved from what and why? This is genuine question and not intended to be provocative.
