I have decided us pensioners should keep our money for possible care fees.

And a lot of unemployment as well.
We should give up our laptops and internet as they cost money which could be used for care.
Mind you probably not as they make us think which is supposed to slow down the onset of dementia.
My Dad was 89 an he liked the internet and he had a go at spread sheets etc.
If I had known about Gransnet I would have encouraged him to join.

Perhaps we'd all die of boredom before we needed to pay for care fees? hmm

That will resolve the care fees problem.
Warner's would go out of existence as most of their customers are pensioners.
My local garage sales would drop as they have told me pensioners buy a lot of new cars.
Local pubs and restaurants will do little business at lunch time Monday to Friday.
Grandchildren will not get Christmas presents or any other presents from the grandparents.
And the list goes on an on.
But there would be no problems funding care fees.
