Haven't been there for years, thanks nanapug for telling us, I'll certainly make a visit when the weather dries up and gets a little warmer. Sounds as though the DGC would have fun and what a bonus to be able to take the dog too, he so often has to be left behind on days out.
Any other suggestions for places to go with the DGC plus dog would be very welcome

So glad you had a lovely time there - I have special reasons for thinking it's a great place to spend a day with children. (Or even without - I usually go two or three times a year when my husband's working in the area.) grin

Any one on here been to Bedgebury recently? I have been twice in the last week with my four GC, at their request, and can highly recommend it. As well as the Pinetum, there is an amazing wooded area with many paths throughout, with beautiful wooden play areas for the kids, cycle tracks and picnic tables. There are areas where kids can make dens with branches that are left lying round for this purpose, and much mud!! Dogs are allowed too which is brilliant. It is a great inexpensive day out.
