Tears to my eyes (nice ones)

When my grandson was small I was always very careful about time. If I said I was just going to run into the house and pick something up that is what I did. I tried to make "I'll just be a minute" mean just that. I found that he was generally quite happy to be left if he knew how long I would be and that I would be back on time.

It reminded me that my youngest son used to become dreadfully upset when he was told that I or someone else would 'just be a minute' and complained bitterly that people lied to him or didn't mean what they said if we didn't
reappear in exactly 60 seconds.
