Sorry Anno, I don`t "do" feet! I`m coming in to get away from the football and the abuse being flung at the screen!

annodomini Sun 14-Apr-13 16:56:25

Need to put my feet up after standing around Manchester Airport for at least an hour - see Good Morning thread. Every time the door slid open, I expected to see GD and every time is wasn't her. I don't suppose anyone wants to massage my feet. No, I thought not... grin

Oh, his reading of under milkwood was sheer magic!

soop Sun 14-Apr-13 13:52:43

Certain voices are so soothing...I enjoy listening to Michael Gambon. And didn't Richard Burton have a velvety voice?

Galen Sun 14-Apr-13 13:45:43

It's male with an American twang. I don't know what I did but it just suddenly started doing it! Frightened the life out of me. Couldn't think what it was to start off with.

Bags Sun 14-Apr-13 13:36:24

That would be nice, so long as one could choose the voice. smile

Galen Sun 14-Apr-13 13:15:30

Washing on! iPad in one of THOSE MOODS today! It'll start reading to me next.

Galen Sun 14-Apr-13 13:14:41

Washington! Files read. Soup for tonight made what next?

Galen Sun 14-Apr-13 12:56:10

I've just got to put the washing on then I'll be back. Save me a piece of shortbread please!

soop Sun 14-Apr-13 12:34:14

While I wait for some company, I shall listen to Mitsuko Uchida playing Schubert's impromtus Op. 90 & Op.142 - music that lifts the spirit.

soop Sun 14-Apr-13 12:13:59

There's a pot of coffee and a large plate of Scottish shortbread waiting. Shall I throw a log on the fire? Does anyone object to having Rory curl up on the mat? Do you have any special request for favourite music? Something sweet and low, perhaps?

soop Sun 14-Apr-13 12:08:26

Cooeee! Thank goodness for peace, quiet and goodwill... please may I take a seat in the corner and share some time with a gaggle of friendly Gransnetters...I'm sick to death of spitefulness. smile

Movedalot Sun 14-Apr-13 09:17:42

glam are you still in there? It seems no one has checked up on you! Must be very shrivelled by now. grin

glammanana Sat 13-Apr-13 17:57:35

The luxury of relaxing after a busy day in the shop my poor feet are singing to me so please excuss me whilst I check into the jacuzzi and get rid of the aches and pains, will someone keep watch as I do tend to fall asleep and could still be here in the morning, though I would be in a slightly shrivvled state.grin

annodomini Sat 13-Apr-13 17:53:47

What we need is a Gransnet health spa. Even a virtual one would be comforting. wine I had a good spell in the jacuzzi at the health club today but it's beside the pool which was full of noisy kids and even noisier dads. hmm

Ella46 Sat 13-Apr-13 17:51:08

Never closed Gally, sounds like a massage would be just right after your bath smile

Gally Sat 13-Apr-13 17:49:46

I've just had a bath after working in the garden all afternoon and am in my 'leisure suit' (jim jams). Is the Quiet Room open for business yet?

Movedalot Sat 13-Apr-13 17:39:25

Me too Maniac but I'm just getting ready for Il Divo so will join you all another time.

Maniac Sat 13-Apr-13 17:36:23

I like the thought of the Jacuzzi -fluffy bath robe, comfy chair and a glass of wine.total luxury plus a gang of GNs!!

glammanana Sat 13-Apr-13 08:11:06

Ella46 Sat 13-Apr-13 08:02:27
