envious I have tried most of them. In looking in a little box for the pencils the lovely photos of my grandparents that I had put in there as a safe place and forgotten about, came to light.

If I start looking for something else I may find the pencils.
I think putting things behind the "clock on the mantel piece" is the best solution. confused

Nelliemoser,if you were hiding your pencils from DH maybe they are in a drawer he wouldn't look in? Maybe your dresser or bedside table ? do you keep shoe boxes?

Today I leapt up to open the door to the postman, scattering all the stuff from the side table and then had trouble locating the remote control. Eventually found it at the bottom of the waste paper basket. It must have flown there. grin

I now cannot now find the safe place in which I put the 4 new very good quality Staedtler pencils I bought and hid away from DHs clutches.

I did "lose" a watch in a dressing gown pocket for several months. It only came to light when the weather got cooler and I wore it.

lujaha, reminds me of younger daughter's first term at University. She phoned, in a panic.'Someone has stolen my purse!'. After calming her down we did all the cancelling of cards etc, not easy with daft old Barclays! Three days later she phoned again rather sheppishly, she had found it under a pile of goodness knows what!

I lost my purse recently and panicked and cancelled all my cards. Needless to say it turned up in the washing basket and fell out just as I was loading the washing machine. Or dressing gown pockets are always useful for lost items. Or try St. Anthony.

I have just discovered the reed diffusers I bought before Christmas and then forgot having bought! So I suppose they were never lost!

I will probably forget I have them again by next Christmas.

All your lost items are in safe places. grin

They are all in that cupboard under the sink where everything ends up. blush

ginny your EHIC is in the flight bag with the guide books and the first aid kit.
Bags the torch is just inside the loft/attic where DH left it when he climbed down.
kitty the reed diffusers are in the kitchen cupboard, the one that has the little used items like silver cleaner and the spare pan scrubbers.
Hope this helps smile

ginny your EHIC - is it with your passport? That's where I keep mine, but of course I have to know where my passport is and my record on that is not good.

Could somebody look for my torch that DH lost. It's not in the places where he might have used it.

They are in the cupboard under the stairs- if you have one. Or, with the C word decorations.

In the meantime, get a nice bunch of Freesias. You can't beat them for their perfume! smile

FlicketyB Tue 16-Apr-13 17:42:32

In the freezer? (where I once left my house and car keys)

sunseeker Tue 16-Apr-13 17:39:07

On top of the bookcase?
Under the spare room bed?

Hope this helps smile

Just before the 'C' word last year, you were all very helpful in suggesting where I had put the decorations and they did, eventually, turn up. Now I've lost the reed diffusers I bought, while they were on offer, from John Lewis. I've bought some more and the first lot still haven't reappeared - please help. confused

Plus, could you please remember that the new ones are on the shelf under the basin in our bedroom, just in case I forget smile
