Not a great start to the week. I set off for work - 40 mile trip - nice and early, having made my salad for lunch. Stopped after about 15 miles for fruit in Tescos, then needed to get petrol. Went to pay for food, eek, no card and no money. That will teach me to change bags at the weekend! Stuipid thing is I had a card from our joint account too, but could't remember code as I never use it.

I had just enough petrol to get to work if I went slowly, and no doubt someone would lend me petrol money to get home.

Carried on, but after 3 miles hit a big traffic jam, which according to local radio went on for miles. Not enough petrol for long queues, so I had to turn around and go home - will work an extra day later in week to make up. Still, at least it's been a nice sunny day. Lesson to me, always keep a £20 note hidden in purse for emergencies, and possibly in car too./

I don`t know, there`s his litter tray, his special cushion, his blanket, his toys, bowls and spoons, scratching post? And what`s happening to his luxury accommodation outside in the garden?
Getting back to Mick`s post, quite cool in Boston, and a strong wind, had a bit of sun but all gone now.

Keep plugging it wherever you can, Soop and I am sure the estate agent will be doing his best.

Rory won't have a lot of clothes to get rid of - he only had one suit for all occasions. his packing to move won't take long either.

Never mind soop - the next viewers may be the ones! smile

The estate agent rang to say that he will buy our glass-topped table and four chairs and use them in his Glasgow flat. No word from the couple who viewed the house. We guess that it wasn't what they wanted. So, back down to earth with a wee thud. wink

Lovely! Butty smile

Now I've to get back to reducing the number of much-loved garments in my wardrobe. I spent yesterday afternoon photographing, measuring/describing/ just seven items for ebay selling. There is also a bag ready to take to the recyling yard in Campbeltown. Mr soop tells me that he may reduce the number of clothes in his wardrobe. Rory couldn't care less. grin

Sunny with big fluffy white clouds. Guests all packed up and gone. Laundry will dry.

A misty day in bonnie Kintyre. A blustery breeze and a skittish sea.

Drizzle and mizzle in Cornwall. We've had our one day of spring ....

Cloudy but quite warm and still here in Manchester. Feeling halfway human today for the first time in a week - have been down with a truly horrendous cold - so will go to my French class this afternoon. Planning to do some gardening this week. I broke a toe some weeks ago and think it is now sufficiently healed to stand up to hoeing and weeding.

Sunny intervals in NE Cheshire, but dry. The little red leaves on the two ornamental malus are making great progress and at last the damson blossom is coming out.

Good morning all, Sunny here in Inverness-shire, but blowing old boots, cold to. Took DGD to nursery and now off a big walk. Thank you all for telling me where Brackley is.

Sunny but cool here in Oxford. I can't believe the postman has just delivered the Cotton Traders winter catalogue! Let's have a summer first!

Sun AGAIN! wonderful, bit of a chill in the air. Off to Doctors (my lovely doctor is back on duty - covering - so will see him - hope it doesn't scare him off)

Grannylin Mon 22-Apr-13 09:02:08

I went to school in Banbury and we used to play hockey against Brackley, so just over the border from Oxfordshire.

PRINTMISS Mon 22-Apr-13 08:48:53

I have no idea where Brackely is, either, but it's always nice to hear how the weather is in other parts of the country. Here on the south coast we have that really chill wind - had it all last year, so the sun shining through the windows, making everything look rosy is very deceptive. Enjoy your day everyone, whatever you are doing.

Good morning, I'm still in bed and have lots to do, what a lazy person I am.

It's sunny outside and the birds are singing a great day for a walk.

Bez Mon 22-Apr-13 08:48:12

Good morning everyone - I like this thread too - keep it up Mick - I miss it when you fail to show as it were!!
Lovely and sunny here today - have given a pale pair of crocs a good scrub with Ajax and they are looking very respectable again.
Hope you all have a cheery day and see the sun.

Apparently there is a Brackley in Northamptonshire.

DH is a world of knowledge on places and I asked him smile

cathy Mon 22-Apr-13 08:23:11

smile

Gally Mon 22-Apr-13 08:20:03

Just what I was going to ask cathy grin. Sounds as if it should be Bedfordshire or Berkshire??

cathy Mon 22-Apr-13 08:16:14

Dear Mick thank you for your daily weather report, it is somehow comforting, please can you tell me were is Brackley.

12Michael Mon 22-Apr-13 08:04:45
