Did anybody go for any sort of St George's day celebration yesterday?.

I did not see any bunting except inside the pub.
There were a lot of people eating half price food but a lot did not look as if they were English.
In theory I could have been thrown out as I was born in Wales.

It's okay. St George wasn't English either.

They had a march in Fareham, didn't make it. You can tell an English person by their mac {also goes for the rest of British Isles I guess}

Our neighbour hoist a new flag every year. Then leaves it until it's in shreds before removing it. Usually about November.
Bit pointless if you ask me as it's in the back garden and can only be seen by 4 houses.
But then he's not asking me is he grin

The St George's flag is far more likely to be seen during the period of European football championships or the World Cup. Mostly flying optimistically from cars.

Scouts/cubs have St George's Day parades. Does anyone know why?

Well.....wouldn't it be because they are celebrating St George's Day? confused

(I would imagine the Welsh ones would have St David's Day and the Irish etc etc)
