Did anybody go for any sort of St George's day celebration yesterday?.

It's okay. St George wasn't English either.

Had a cup of tea and talked about the weather..... very English!

They had a march in Fareham, didn't make it. You can tell an English person by their mac {also goes for the rest of British Isles I guess}

Our neighbour hoist a new flag every year. Then leaves it until it's in shreds before removing it. Usually about November.
Bit pointless if you ask me as it's in the back garden and can only be seen by 4 houses.
But then he's not asking me is he

OH went to the pub. He said it was quite full with celebrating.

The St George's flag is far more likely to be seen during the period of European football championships or the World Cup. Mostly flying optimistically from cars.

Scouts/cubs have St George's Day parades. Does anyone know why?

Well.....wouldn't it be because they are celebrating St George's Day?

(I would imagine the Welsh ones would have St David's Day and the Irish etc etc)
