Happy birthday Gransnet.

It's really interesting hearing about how members came to join GN.I obviously wasn't taking much notice of the Press two years ago !! I'm glad I've joined now though as amongst other things, I've picked up lots of helpful tips and met a lot of interesting people of course.

Happy Birthday Gransnet! I joined in May 2011 as well. I love reading the many varied posts and occasionally join in and I too have met some lovely GNers. Here's to another year of fun and naughtiness

I joined on the first day, too, after reading an article in the "Daily Telegraph" - (so obviously there was a lot of publicity!). Happy birthday, Gransnet.

I joined via the Oldie magazine and there was a definite sense of being persona non grata - not me personally, but the Oldie for having been given its own forum within Gransnet.

Happy 2nd Birthday Gransnet. I joined a month after Gransnet started after reading about it in the Guardian.

I've also been here from the start and remember that when I registered I was feeling quite nervous about joining an online forum. It turned out to be a very good decision!

I have been here since the start, read an article in a newspaper and thought I would just take a look. I had no idea it would become so addictive but as a result I have met some lovely ladies who have enhanced my life

Happy Birthday Gransnet! Thankyou to everyone at GNHQ and thankyou to all the lovely friends I've found online. I'm not very computer literate and wandered into Gransnet by very happy accident in January this year. I think i was trying to find something on philosophy.

I missed out on the first few months, then I heard about Mumsnet and had a look and saw a reference to Gransnet. I haven't bothered with Mumsnet at all as there are just too many posts each day. What is very good for me is the fact that I can access GN from anywhere in the world, with my trusty laptop.
