I have always liked this thread, so here I am resurrecting it!

Today I have mainly been eating, drinking and sleeping, then eating....

Such decadence! Lunchtime drinks at the Yacht club, watching the gaffer (DGD explained what it meant) racing and the sun glinting on the water, then home for a bite, then a snooze...what a life. How lovely today was.

Granny23 ...you, my dear, are a star! flowers

This morning we have been mostly pouring over Internet and car brochures looking for a car to replace our ageing XTrail. And getting more and more confused. My main criteria is to have a rear facing camera as we tow a caravan and occasionally a boat. He's looking at al the tech stuff and the car sales seem to focus on things like leather covered gear knobs. This could take some time!

Today I have been mainly.. eating. Hurt my back gardening... good
excuse to sit on sofa and eat.
Tomorrow I plan to diet.

I completed the race walk for Life successfully, but not a medal to be seen! Slithered home wet and muddy (it was a mucky race). Went off to check out a friend's chooks to find the one I thought was broody (it was when friend's left), but found it had died. shock Raced home to get Mr.B with stuff to take it away in. Cleaned out the nesting box. Errgh!
Just had a hot shower and a mug of tea! Bliss.

Who's eaten all the flapjacks!?

soop Sun 23-Jun-13 16:06:36

Answer - jings!
Well done, Butty...you did well. smile

Butty Sun 23-Jun-13 16:13:08

grin - Good for J - means she's got her mo-jo back.

Nonu Sun 23-Jun-13 16:16:49

whenim64 Sun 23-Jun-13 16:43:11

Bravo, Butty flowers Sorry about the ppor chicken sad

Bags Sun 23-Jun-13 16:48:32

Well done, butty! Zapping some flapjack through the ether for you. Don't say I said, but soop ate quite a lot of it too wink

Bags Sun 23-Jun-13 16:49:57

The wind kept the midges off MrBags doing some scything but not off me. Hmph!

soop Sun 23-Jun-13 17:18:28

Bags Didn't like to admit it, but...your flapjacks lasted all of five minutes after you'd left me. What with them, dark chocolate and M&S butter biscuits I've a lot to blame you for..grin.

Bags Sun 23-Jun-13 17:26:15

As soon as the infamous bum lets you, soop, you get back on that exercise bike! wink

soop Sun 23-Jun-13 17:28:54

How could you, Bags. You know darn well that my bum is a sore point!

Bags Sun 23-Jun-13 17:30:01

grin

soop Sun 23-Jun-13 17:30:34

The very sight of the saddle puts me into a swoon. As for cocking my leg...blush

Bags Sun 23-Jun-13 17:31:12

I fastened a cushion to the saddle of my last bike.

Bags Sun 23-Jun-13 17:32:25

You'll know when you're ready – like after childbirth. Oh boy! What have done to the thread's tone blush

soop Sun 23-Jun-13 17:34:43

What tone would that be, Bags? grin

soop Sun 23-Jun-13 17:36:14

Anyway, if I put a cushion on my saddle, I won't be able to reach the pedals. It's called being a short arse.

soop Sun 23-Jun-13 17:39:24

Just twenty minutes in which to make myself look gorgeous [clean teeth, comb hair] and then Mr soop will approach me bearing a large G&T. Rory will shift from one cushion to another and all will be well...

Butty Sun 23-Jun-13 17:47:58

Snaffling flapjacks and G&T's soop - anyone would think you'd had a bot. op. grin

B YUM to your virtual flapjacks.

soop Sun 23-Jun-13 18:03:30

Titters from Kintyre. Off to slurp the G&T. Thanks to you lot for a super day. Slainte! moon

Sook Sun 23-Jun-13 19:46:41

Well done Butty re the Walk for Life.

Ariadne Sun 23-Jun-13 20:21:27

If I tell you that we spent Tuesday to Friday doing emergency child minding for our small DGSs in Hampshire, and returned home to Devon in time to greet DS2 and the two youngest DGDs coming to stay, then had them and DD, DSiL and their two round for dinner last night and went out with them all for lunch today, and finally said goodbye an hour ago...do I need to tell you how we feel?? (Rhetorical question!)

Joyful, loved, happy, over fed.....exhausted. But we wouldn't have it any other way, would we? smile

Butty Sun 23-Jun-13 20:22:48

What a wonderful time, Ariadne smile
