Best laid plans can go awry. Middle daughter was enjoying the sunshine ate local park. A group of young men were playing with a frisbee. They threw it and it hit her face. One trip to hospital and a broken nose later we ended up sharing our BBQ with daughter and her two children - five loaves and two fish springs to mind.

We've had a lovely hot, sunny day in Bracknell. Still sorting out the kitchen but I did manage an hour in the garden with a book.

Joined a walking group (thanks Maniac!) but first had to battle my way through all the traffic trying to get to North Somerset Show (all roads converging on Wraxall absolutely chock-a-block) I then had to battle my way through the traffic again to get back home!

Later had to drive across Bristol and back!

Still it is a lovely sunny day and I refuse to let the traffic jams get to me!

Took my granddaughters to the Yoxhall bluebell walk today.
It was very hot.
I think we would have been better off in the back garden.
We had a Sunday roast on Monday.

We've had a hot and sunny day on the Fens. Our fifteen year old grandson has been helping us in the garden to earn some money. It's lovely when they are strong enought to be of a real help and we had a lot of apple tree prunings to drag to the bonfire area. Not a job I enjoy doing!! smile

Beautiful here in Boston as well, hot and sunny, wish we were going out somewhere. Actually, it`s May Fair week here, and it ALWAYS rains on the fair, bet they can`t believe their luck this year!

Its beautiful here too, we are doing a dirty job of cleaning and refilling our pond YUK!! thought about the coast but decided we just didn't want to deal with the amount of traffic..

I'd say Bank Holidays are more often than not blighted by lousy weather.

Lovely sunshine here. We're expecting DD and family very soon for BBQ

It is very sunny here and the forecast is good. We do seem to be a negative lot as a nation and should enjoy the moment. BBQ ingredients are already in the fridge!

sunshineI hope the sun is shining where you are. The weather forecasters who for once think they are giving the news we want to hear, are saying it's hard to believe. Does it usually rain on Bank Holidays? Or is it another example of the English finding it impossible to be positive about anything in their own country?
