Please don't tell us he was not guilty for some reason of insanity or incapacity - he managed to convince his relatives, neighbours, friends and employers that he was an upstanding citizen for all those years. That sounds to me as though he was in complete control of all his actions.

So presumably he is going to claim the women wanted to spend their time chained up and beaten and that the child born to one of his victims wasn't his - unbelievable!

I smell a lawyer or two wanting to make some money.
