Morning, dull here too but a happy day in prospect. DGD2 is having her 2nd birthday party today so a happy, tiring, family day awaits.

Then off to Aldeburgh tomorrow - made the mistake of looking at the forecast

We have a cloudy morning here also, and it is the print weekend at Amberley Museum so we are off there for the day, probably half a day, can't do more than that, and might go tomorrow also, but there is a special bowls club activity then. Why is it that when we wait ages for a bus, two come along at the same time? Hope you all enjoy your day.

Absolutely lashing down with rain here on the North East Coast. The sky and sea are both so grey they are joined up and it is so dark I have the lights on!
No work getting done in my daughters garden today that's for sure.

Good morning everyone it's cold and dull here in Cheshire. I'm currently in the kitchen turning a glut of bananas into loaves (10p a kilo last night from Sainsburys). I keep tripping over a hopeful hound who despite having had a large breakfast is keeping a keen eye on any scraps that might come his way.

Later I'm picking my little princess up and taking her to a birthday party, it has a princess or pirate theme, meanwhile DH will look after 21 month old grandson (mum and dad are working). After an exhausting afternoon we are going to watch The Forsythe Saga at our local theatre. It's only an amateur production but they are usually very good. DS2 has invited us for a meal afterwards.

Indeed it is cold grey and damp! in Cheshire. One advantage though! I am defrosting my freezer and the stuff stashed in the cool box and in a bag under the duvet in the shed are likely to stay cool.

My joints are complaining about the Cheshire weather this morning. If my barometer was working I'm sure I'd see that the pressure has plummeted. Taking senior GD out to lunch, so just as well that yesterday was a 'fast' day. I'm missing the mountains of Greatnan's habitat.

My knees are complaining about the weather, too anno! Nowadays, I often know what the weather is going to be like before opening the curtains, when I come downstairs. If I skip down them, it's a fine, dry day. If it's damp and overcast, it takes me twice as long

Good morning to you all. After an amazing day yesterday, and a stunning sunset' it rained overnight. It is clearing as I type. The Paps of Jura are wearing frilly cloud-caps. Logs chopped and ready for a fire later today.

Still pouring in Northumberland - definitely a day for indoors and getting on with my knitting!

DGS is all packed for his Beaver camp all ready for the off just as well he is not going for a week with the size of his bag , DD is trying her hardest to be cheerful about it but I can read her face.

I am off to a Summer ball tonight with some special people. ohhhhhh no that means a dress ..... dont do dressy up very well
