Afternoon from London. Beautiful morning but cloudy now with cold wind. But took t he opportunity this morning to buy plants for tiny garden and have just planted them, it looks lovely.

Its a beautiful day here in Norfolk. Hub gone for a sail with son and grandson, and I have been pottering in garden and making 2 doz scones[last batch of 6 dozen] for daughters fundraising 'quiz and afternoon tea' on 1st June in aid of Macmillan nurses in memory of best friend who died from pancreatic cancer at the tender age of 41. A very worthy cause and a lovely way to remember her.

Happy birthday, Moomin. Since you posted the weather has gone downhill, so I hope it stays fine for the Show! It is now grey and windy in Northumberland. DH and DS went out for a bike ride earlier, since DH came back the beautiful blue skies have gone. I did some baking (DH raided the scones when he got in, but the rest plus a Victoria sandwich are now in the freezer). Not sure what we will do this afternoon, but probably watch the Play Offs for the Premier League.

Overcast and chilly here in Manchester, but we've had 2 lovely days which enabled me to catch up with the gardening jobs. No particular plans for today, but if I can find a good film on TV, I may get round to doing the ironing, at long last. Many happy returns moomin.

Dorset still haven't made the pilgrimage to Burton Bradstock, waiting for sunbathing weather, seems I missed a chance yesterday! I bet it will be more popular than ever this year after THAT t.v. drama!

Hi Mick, love your daily welcomes and weather updates. Warmish and a bit cloudy here in lovely Dorset. It was wall-to-wall blue here yesterday, a friend and I sat in the garden all afternoon with the Sunday papers, pots of tea and a silly cat who insisted on sitting on my lap. I see from my bathroom mirror that I've caught the sun.
Today I'll be gardening but not nice enough to sunbathe - have a good day Mick.
Moomin I love county shows - we have several over the summer here. The Ellingham on the Somerley Estate being one of our favourites as it's less commercial then say the New Forest Show, the Royal Bath and Western has the best farm animal collection and show.

Sunny start here on the a north East coast although weather forecast doesn't look too promising for the rest of the day. Thankfully all gardening jobs now finished ( well for this week anyway).
