Lovely sunshine here in Manchester. Hoping it stays that way as my book group is coming round later for a BBQ.

Dull and cold in NW London. I am hoping that the sun appears.

Glorious sunshine in Cheshire, and I'm going to soak up as much as possible before it goes!

Bright morning on the North East Coast. Not sunny so far but I have night hopes for later on. Hope it's a lovely da whoever you are.

Lovely here, as you say, Ella. I am planning to go to Hare Hill as the rhododenrons should be at their best now. I hope it's good weather in Oxfordshire as my DS2 is having his first attempt at a triathlon today. Good luck to him.

Getting cloudier here as the atmospheric pressure is falling. Also getting midgy – got my first few bites this morning (much later in the year than usual) while doing a bit of gardening and archery and hanging out washing. Is it time for cake yet?

Morning - sunny here in South Wales now - had sun and cloud already this morning. Quiet day planned I think.

Good morning, it is now brightening up, the early morning was very chilly and we still have that wretched wind which is lovely for drying the washing but takes the pleasure out of the sunny day. Resting after an afternoon of bowls yesterday, think I should give up really. (the bowls, not the resting!)

A sunny good afternoon from bonnie Kintyre. Yet another lovely day.

Sunny day is now clouding over though it's still warm. I'm hoping to get another wash-load out before I take off for Hare Hill. DS2 has completed his triathlon and, judging from the pictures on FB, he didn't come in last.

It's been a lovely day here with just enough breaks in the sun to get some lunch and a !
Then my lovely neighbour brought me a piece of chocolate cream sponge as he couldn't manage the whole cake!

It was idyllic at Hare Hill. Anyone in the NW - if you're going round NT properties, this is lovely for a peaceful summer afternoon - no stately home, just a beautiful garden, particularly at this time of year.

Gillybob, does that mean "high hopes" for "night hopes"?
