Well we went to Manchester on Saturday to see Rod and I have to say it was a great show! He came on stage without fanfare or fireworks just a microphone and it was brilliant smile I would love to see the show again! He has improved with age - like fine winegrin

I saw Rod Stewart at Glastonbury several years ago, in the old dibbers slot on the Sunday evening. He followed Roger Waters' Pink Floyd and it was a total anticlimax! People started to leave. He may have learnt his lesson from Glasto ..... sorry Babs.... but I do like him, really!

Glad you loved it Babs. I will tell my sisters and brothers-in-law who are going to see him this month in Brum. They have never missed a show here and love him to bits.

I'm looking forward to seeing him next week in Brum, glad you enjoyed it Babs

glamma a lot of his songs seem to be related to things in his life and I wonder about one of the new ones about splitting up after 5 years. Has that happened? I don't read the sort of mags which tell you these things!

I recently saw a photo of Rod with his wife, meeting the Queen, so hopefully nothing has changed marriage wise. I love that song about getting older, looking back (can't remember the title)and what his Dad used to say. Have a CD of old standards sung by Rod, it's lovely. Do you remember Kenny Everett doing a spoof on Rod in leopard-skin leggings that just got bigger and bigger. I'm smiling just thinking about it! smile

I have to say some of the old songs he sang brought a tear to my eye remembering just how young I was at the time! Not that I regret anything and I wouldn't change anything (well not much!)wink
