As I flicked through a magazine yesterday I noticed another kiss-and-tell story and thought that something about a photograph was familiar. It was rather a shock to realise that the story was about someone I knew, the parent of a friend of my son and a well known local personality. Unfortunately, the person in question died a couple of years ago and the story focused on unsavoury details revealed by an ex lover.

I have to admit that I felt annoyed on behalf of the person who isn't here to defend themselves and the family who have been placed in a difficult situation. Truth is, the story wasn't much of a story but had been written with a dodgy slant and was being used a) for financial gain and b) to promote the 'new career' of the story teller. I've never liked these sorts of stories but am grateful this one is relatively mild. It left a very odd feeling ...

Yes mollie, making a few quid out of telling lies about the dead - and their love life at that. Would leave a nasty taste. I suppose beyond that, what might someone say about us after we are gone hmm Very unsettling. We do have some nasty, sordid publications in this country don't we.

That must have been very upsetting mollie. There are some nasty people out there, such a shame. Doesn't it make you wonder about their own sad little lives? I tend to feel rather sorry for such people but that doesn't make right what they have done.
