Oh dear I can't imagine what price they are these days. Is it worth buying such expensive shoes?

Oh no! That was an expensive shopping trip! I assume you have searched the car thoroughly, under seat etc.

Could you put a message out on a local radio staion? They wouldn't give your details but would tell the finder to contact them. It's worked for me in the past.
