Can I be the first to predict the name? I think they will go with traditional.
Alice for a girl.
George for a boy.

I might go to Bucklebury tomorrow. And walk about.

They must come out of that mansion sometimes.

Faye are you psychic?

Tegan Wed 24-Jul-13 22:19:46

Supposedly the blanket was made by a company in Chilwell near to where my son lives [bit of useless information that, but not many exciting things happen in Chilwell so they need their five minutes of fame].

Ella46 Wed 24-Jul-13 22:14:03

Thanks Ana, that must be what I heard blush

Faye Wed 24-Jul-13 22:12:58

Well I was close, before the baby's name was announced I said I liked Louis and Alexander and didn't think they would select names currently being used in their family. Two out of three is not bad.

Ana Wed 24-Jul-13 21:10:10

One of William's names is Louis, Ella.

Grannylin Wed 24-Jul-13 21:05:17

I love the names .I had my William just before Diana and my William now has an Alexander..knew my Mum and Dad should have listened when I told the I was really a princess!grin

Ella46 Wed 24-Jul-13 20:45:13

You're right absent! I don't know where I got that from? grin

I'm losing the plot again!

absent Wed 24-Jul-13 20:34:53

The Prince of Wales's full name is Charles Philip Arthur George. There is no Louis.

j08 Wed 24-Jul-13 20:22:56

Oh, I get what you mean jess! Go on. I don't mind. We won't fall out

j08 Wed 24-Jul-13 20:17:15

Yes. Good to keep the name going down the generations. crown

j08 Wed 24-Jul-13 20:16:37

and his blanket has sold out

I wonder if Kate's mum bought it for them in the John Lewis store.

Ella46 Wed 24-Jul-13 20:14:52

Louis is one of Charles' names too, after Mountbatten, so maybe they are naming George after his granddad.

j08 Wed 24-Jul-13 20:11:57

jess confused

(I'm not a bull!)

j08 Wed 24-Jul-13 20:10:47

look, Diana wore a spotty dress to leave hospital with William (scroll down)

JessM Wed 24-Jul-13 20:00:09

Yes, Louis for Mountbatten it will be. Temptation to wave red rag at jo8 rather strong. Resists woman-fully. I'm sure there must be something on the telly...

Sook Wed 24-Jul-13 19:59:13

My DGS Alexander aka Xander

annodomini Wed 24-Jul-13 19:19:01

My great nephew is George. There were 3 mediaeval Scottish kings named Alexander. That will be the Scottish connection. crown

j08 Wed 24-Jul-13 18:57:06

Just googled AA - ooh no! Nothing like him! grin

Ana Wed 24-Jul-13 18:52:28

Jingl I bet your GS isn't smug like AA! (Sorry, off-topic!)

j08 Wed 24-Jul-13 18:51:47

Or to the Greeks! (Alexander the Great) grin

j08 Wed 24-Jul-13 18:50:55

Perhaps it's a nod to the Scots. (I think it's a Scottish name)

j08 Wed 24-Jul-13 18:49:48

We shorten my GS's Alexander to 'xander. grin

BAnanas Wed 24-Jul-13 18:48:43

So the name is George, Alexander, Louis, we know the sex, the weight, we had a glimpse of his head and now we know the name. Good luck to them and hope they have a happy family life they do seem a nice young couple, but please that's enough for the time being!!!

Tegan Wed 24-Jul-13 18:44:28

Oh I like it. My dad was called George [well, his name was Albert but mum called him George].
