I’ve just rejoined GN after a bit of an absence so thought I’d say hello – it seems somehow underhand to just slide back on as a different persona, masquerading as a newbie, but it isn’t possible to rejoin with your old username. I didn’t stomp off in a huff and hadn’t fallen out with anyone – not as far as I’m aware anyway – and I don’t now think I have no more to learn about being a gran, if you follow my meaning. But change is good. I have been so very low under my old name, and just withdrew into myself. Why do we find it so impossible to communicate at the very times we most need to?
But I couldn’t stay away! I have missed you all too much!
I nearly rejoined as “J0infinity” but could not be the cause of so much consternation

Hello Backagain and welcome back again. I hope that you are feeling better and that rejoining Gransnet will add to your wellbeing. I agree that j0infinity really would have been a step too far - but it would have been very amusing for a while.

Glad your'e back with us! There's nothing any of us can 'learn', wink I don't think, but it's good to bounce ideas off each other now and again!
Sometimes we need to communicate so very much, but it can be hard to put into words what we need to say....so we back off again, Backagain! smile

Is it forbidden to say what your former name was, if you are happy to do so? It would save people having to guess.

Sorry, I didn't mean to make any mystery of it! It was the fact that I had Been Here Before that I wanted to mention, that's all. I was Learnergran. Still am of course. A rose....etc.
Do you remember those old newspaper stunts when people had to stop someone in the street and say something along the lines of "I know you, you're So and So from the Daily Whatsit" and win a fiver?
