Good Morning sunday

Had a lovely afternoon with all the grandchildren having afternoon tea and a paddling pool party in daughter's garden. Lots of dripping ice cream cornets, water splashed everywhere, excited kids and laughing mums and dads. Great fun

Good evening. I had a lovely afternoon at a chamber concert at Buxton Festival - Haydn and Beethoven. Then sat out by the bandstand where a brass band was playing. There was a little cooling breeze - just perfect. Back home by way of the Goyt Valley. There's a small beach on one of the reservoirs and there were children playing in the water. I didn't think this was allowed, but no-one seemed to be preventing their enjoyment.

Good day from bonnie Kintyre. The air is pleasantly soft. A lovely still sea. Thin cloud lifting. Rory sitting at my feet. Mr soop playing the piano. Coffee in my cup. A on my face.

They'll be lucky to get to the top of Ventoux before dark at that rate, Mamie!

Morning everyone, it's hot here but there is a gentle breeze so quite pleasant at the moment.

Annoyingly late start today to the Tour, Anno. They are still marching the army round and round in Paris.
Think it will be dreadful for the cyclists, I haven't even got the energy to go as far as the hammock...

Me and the hosepipe had fun in the garden this morning.. It's baking hot now but I MUST NOT let myself grumble after such a lousy winter and spring.
I will embrace this heat even if it kills me!

Mamie, I've only been up Mt Ventoux by car, but when you do, you pass a myriad cyclists toiling up, presumably trying to prove that they too could do the Tour! The camp site favoured by my family has a perfect view of the Mont.

I've just discovered the joy of sitting with my feet in a bucket of cold water [discovered whilst trying to sort out a touch of athletes foot].

Morning all. I must admit, as a redhead, that I'm beginning to droop in this heat, but it is wonderful!
I'm contemplating lighting my little bbq today ( always seems too much trouble just for me)

A beautiful morning here in Manchester - and thanks to the wonders of my digital hearing aid I can now hear the birdsong

Good morning - already hot here this morning. National holiday celebrations here today so we shall be off to the local Mairie later for a glass of wine and a nibble and then will go and see the fireworks in the local village tonight.

Beginning to get hot on the coast here, off to a friends for a BBQ. We have offered to take our Gazebo, should be fun putting that up! Have a cool day everyone.

Foggy here in the East Mids, but another hot day in prospect.
