Story of my life....

I decided to water the garden.
While organising the hosepipe, I noticed the car needs a wash.

On my way to the garage I noticed the mail on the step by the front door.

I decided to go through the mail before I wash the car.

So I put the car keys on the table, put the mail in a box under the table but noticed that the box is full.

I left all the accounts on the table in order to first empty the mail in the box and while doing that, thought I could just as well pay the accounts - at least that will get done.

I took my cheque book on the table and noticed there's only one cheque left. My new cheque book is in the study and found the mug of coffee I was trying to drink earlier on but it's cold so had to make a fresh one.

On my way to the kitchen with the cold mug of coffee, I noticed the poor pot plant is suffering from lack of water.

I make a fresh mug of coffee.

I put the coffee on the kitchen table and, hurray, discovered my reading glasses which I actually was searching for the whole morning!

So I decided it might be a good thing to first take my glasses to the room but, first the plant had to get a drop of water.

I put the glasses back on the table, filled a jug with water, then noticed the TV remote, surely it was left sitting on the table by someone else..........

I realised if we wanted to watch TV tonight no one will now where the thing is, so I better put it back but first I had to water the plant.

I tried to but most of the water ended up on the floor!

I put the tv-thingy back on the table and grabbed a towel to do something about the wet floor.

I walked down the corridor and tried to remember what it was I wanted to do....

By the time the sun started to set:
The car is still dirty.
No accounts had been paid.
A mug of cold coffee was sitting on the kitchen table.
The plant is still screaming out to be watered.
The remote control thingy disappeared.
I can't at all remembered what I did with the car keys.
I tried to work out what I'd done all day, why I was so tired!
I walked over to my laptop to try and seek some help, then decided to first have a look at my emails.

Don't laugh.........

A procrastinator after my own heart! I looked at the awful mess my house was in last night but decided that a good nights sleep would see me so refreshed that I would tackle the mess better. Had good nights sleep and here I am, staring at the pooter and trying to pretend that the mess outside the pooter room door doesn't exist....[note to self; must do something about tv remote controls which have entered the realms of missing reading glasses when it comes to being put down in strange places and lost for hours/days at a time].

There's a very funny video somewhere on YouTube along those lines - can't remember what it was called, though!

I started off trying intending to organise stuff for my week away so I looked on the computer for my packing list.
Then spent two hours trying to find the folder it was in which contained a whole lot of generally useful stuff. Total panic I might have deleted it transferring stuff to my new computer.

I eventually happened across it inside the Symantec virus protection folder. Somehow I must have dragged it there by accident.

It's safely back in the proper place. I am knackered and no further forward.
Then there's Gransnet .
