I'm so tired and stiff from running around after dgd yesterday, but it was worth it as we had lots of 'nana cuddles'

Warm and damp here on the North East coast. It got out beautiful late morning yesterday and I think today is going to be much the same. Off to work and then picking grandma up from hospital after lunch as they are sending her home. No rest for the wicked. have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone, grey here, not sure what is going to happen later. Have something comforting to eat when you get home Mick, I think these early morning tests put the whole day out of kilter, but then that is me! Nice to hear you call your grandma, grandma, gilly. I am a grandma, and my children called our parents grandma and granddad, although my gran, was always gran! Enjoy your days.

Grey and overcast in East Sussex. Right knee kept me awake last night. Probably arthritis, had ACL surgery in it eight years ago. Isn't getting old great! Going to Osteopaths later.

Raining heavily here at the moment, not a day for putting the washing out that's for sure, but won't have to water the plants.

Grey and humid here. I was up at the crack of dawn to make DD's breakfast and then take her to the station. It was just a fleeting overnight visit, but so good to see her. She is a very energetic person, brimming with vitality, and we always laugh our socks off.

I have booked in for a fitness assessment at our local gym this morning. I know I am unfit, but I am really dreading it. I hated sport at school and although I enjoy walking and swimming, I have never really got the exercise bug. Wish me luck.

Good morning we had quite a lot of rain last night and the skies are threatening more. I am going to a friends funeral later, I was hoping it would be a glorious sunny day for her because that's how she was in life.

GoodMorning - still warm and sunny here. We had friends for a meal yesterday evening and were still outside at eleven when it was just starting to get slightly cooler. Lucky for me not much cooking to do today as plenty of chicken pie left and also some ratatouille and green beans!
Hope your tests go OK Mick - have something to eat before shopping or you might come over all funny!
Hope the funeral goes well Soop and is a good celebration of a happy life.

The funeral went well thanks Bez a few tears and lots of laughs which is exactly how she would have wanted it and the sun did shine after all .

vegasmags unfit? You must be joking, stripping walls, creosoting fences etc, etc, I am surprised you have the time, never mind the energy to even think about joining a gym

Sook - it's true that I have been doing inordinate amounts of DIY!!! However, as an ex smoker I felt I should be trying to improve my cardio vascular fitness and the gym has a nice pool, which is really the attraction. I made a complete fool of myself on the treadmill, not even getting past a brisk walk, and fell off the stair climbing thing as I was looking through the wrong bit of my bifocals. I think I'll just stick to a few gentle lengths of breast stroke.

From a grey and rainy start it has turned into a glorious day here. Like a gift!

Just been for a lovely lunch at The Ash tearooms, recommended by anno a couple of weeks ago. She didn't do it justice - a fabulous place with room after room of enticing goodies, permeated by delicious smells of food that gets presented like works of art and the aroma of good coffee.
