Jeremy Paxman's beard

Hands up who thinks it is a good look? I used to find him rather attractive in a craggy way with the sardonic eyebrow raised just so, but with his beard....? Puts years on him IMHO. Slightly alarmed that he might be starting a trend though as I see GeraldineGransnet claims to be "twirling moustache" in her reply re F.... you know who. Shades of Emily Maitlis and her 'tache there , so no more please!

I read that he's going to shave it off because he's realised it makes him look like Old Man Steptoe....grin

Beards have become fashionable with young men. Saw a dyed one the other day.
JP is trying to be cool perhaps?

Oh, Gracesmum, I don't like it! I agree, he was attractive in an 'I'm so clever I could get you do anything I want' kind of way, but now he just looks creepy! I'll bet a flowing 'tache isn't doing a lot for gorgeous Geraldine, either! grin

I think it makes him look better and far less smug & sneery. I love a beard!

Jeremy Paxman? With a beard? What is the world coming to?

I just think it makes him look older really. My DH had a beard and ponytail (not a word ladies ha ha) for years and we would get stopped through customs nearly everytime we went away!! When he shaved it off, firstly he looked so much younger and secondly, trips abroad became so much more enjoyable as we were no longer looked at as drug mules!!! I know for JP it has nothing to do with anyone else but I really think if just one of the photos of him with said beard, showed him smiling it would help "the look". grin
