Shan't be on much this week! Got DD&DGD staying until Thursday. Unfortunately they are going on Thursday, which would have been my late husbands 70th birthday!
Forecast wrong again for N Wales. Predicted sunshine and 26 deg. Announced that we should go down the beach. It was more like 16 deg with light showers and the sun barely peeped through clouds all day. Did not last very long on beach. Called in to check out local farm shop. They had one of those signs outside that have the headline from today's local paper: Food Poisoning Outbreak in North Wales. Why? Why oh why did they feel they had to display this outside their door?
I'm envious Nellie, they have some days to go here, I just know they will 'come good' when we are on holiday. I have crab apples on my tree waiting to join the bbs in bramble and apple jelly! You could always come and scrump the crab apples!
This a/m I picked 1.3kg of blackberries! Plenty more waiting to ripen. Next time I will take the secateurs and a pair of gardening gloves with me. Too many nettles and long new blackberry runners. I will then need to think what to do with them.
Absolutely chucking it down here. Met office are unaware and the rain does not appear on the rainfall radar map. Better get used to this north Welsh weather I suppose where it seems to rain even when forecast is dry.
Better get a move on, instead of making up for lost computer time while it was being mended, meeting a friend for coffee at 11! Dullish here at the mo, rain promised by lunchtime. Never mind, holiday in a couple of weeks!
Looks like being a lovely day again here, and I am hoping to get out in the garden sometime today, probably this morning before it gets too hot. It's all cutting back and weeding these days, then getting rid of the rubbish! Very satisfying though. Enjoy your days everyone.
Good morning - sunny here but there is a definite slight nip in the air so far - forecast to be 32 later so should warm up so. DH has to go for blood test this morning so early start.
Morning Mick and all gns. Promising in the East Mids this morning
Busy day ahead - the decorator is still here, I'm looking after a 19 month old and a 5 month old and DH's brother, his wife and blinking dog are calling on their way home from holiday. Better go and make a cake.
