All misty and still and romantic here. Red sky earlier though.

Morning all!

A little cloudy here today and storms are forecast overnight. That's a relief - I won't need to water this evening. grin

Off to court this am - wonder whether what I learnt on yesterday's course will have any relevance at all confused. Then Sainsbury's!! I know how to live! grin

Hope you all have equally exciting days!!

gillybob Fri 23-Aug-13 07:00:37

Good morning everyone. I can honestly say I don't think I have had a wink of sleep all night (again). Just too much whirring around my head at the minute to relax. We had a lovely pinky red sky here on the North East coast last night so hoping for another lovely day. Heaps of washing to hang out (grandmas never ending supply of nighties, dressing gowns and HUGE knickers) and then off to work. Have a good day everyone. smile

Ella46 Fri 23-Aug-13 07:06:39

gillybob It's horrible when your head won't shut down and you desperately need some sleep, I remember it well!

It's beautiful here, a golden sun is bathing the houses opposite and it's mild and fresh at the same time.

I have to 'do the hens' today,(ds has gone away) and then I'm off for lunch again blush, I've had a very social week smile

Happy Friday everyone

NfkDumpling Fri 23-Aug-13 07:13:06

Gillybob Stressless works for me! For some reason Kalms doesn't although the ingredients are exactly the same. It probably means it's purely a placebo effect - but I don't care.

Brendawymms Fri 23-Aug-13 07:49:46

Not a cloud in the sky in East Sussex. Bit of a drama yesterday when gas serviced. They found we had no earth on the electrics. A search revealed that an animal, probably badger, had uprooted the earth spike. All well again now. Grandchildren coming today, out with the glue and paints.

gillybob Fri 23-Aug-13 07:56:08

Stressless sounds food to me Nfk I shall give them a try, than you.

Not the dreaded glue and paints Brendawymms it makes me shudder every time I hear the dreaded words " grandma can we do cutting and sticking today" it's the bloody glitter that get me, horrible stuff. At the minute we have a bit of a cottage industry of Get Well Soon cards going, what with my mum and grandma both in and out of hospital. Have fun. smile

Nelliemoser Fri 23-Aug-13 08:01:13

gillybob look after yourself. ((( hugs)))

gillybob Fri 23-Aug-13 08:04:48

Thanks Nelliemoser you too. smile

I feel that I should point out that stressless sounds GOOD to me. I will not be eating them for every meal. grin thanK you Nfk . My typing is rubbish today which is not a good sign as must go to work soon.

Bez Fri 23-Aug-13 08:07:49

Good morning. * Gilly* hope things settle well for you soon - you are having a very full life at the moment to say the least!
Sun out already. Friends left yesterday so bedding ready to go on line and towels to go in machine. We need to shop this morning - people coming for a barbecue this evening. Will be making an apple pie as Bramleys just nicely ready to pick.
Have a great time with glue paint etc those of you lucky enough to have little ones visiting - those years just go so quickly.

Chaos diminishing as family go back today. I'm keeping well out of reach as I've a nasty sore throat and cold starting. This last week with thecDD here I've been walking on eggs as DH keeps telling me that there is no room for two mothers. The DGCs were fine for the previous weeks but they play up when their mother is here with them. It's been raining overnight. Bright grey this morning

PRINTMISS Fri 23-Aug-13 08:22:42

Good morning, nice to read all the posts, and what a busy lot you are! What am I doing? well, not a lot, although I was busy yesterday. I have decided to have a go at bowls today, first time since I fractured my wrist which is still sore, but not the hand I bowl with. I think it is going to be hot which is not a good sign, since our bowls green gets the full sun all day, I will, however, enjoy the company I know, so looking forward to it. Fish and Chips the order of the day for lunch. Enjoy your days everyone

annodomini Fri 23-Aug-13 08:39:22

Lovely morning and I am going to see AlieOxon later on. And my GS is having three friends for a sleepover tonight in tents in their small garden - I foresee mayhem and will retreat to bedroom with a good book.

Thank Frigg it's Friday.
A day of mellow mistiness chez nous.

celebgran Fri 23-Aug-13 09:13:03

Thank god it's stopped raining even though garden was I dire need.

Hope go to Clacton air show later

Ella46 Fri 23-Aug-13 10:27:24

Just got back from sorting out the pesky hens!
One of them (I think it's the same one) should be called Houdini!
It had escaped into the garden yesterday after ds left for holiday, and laid an egg in the gravel bit, then got stuck between the fence and the netting of the run.
Poor thing must have been there all night shock with no food and water.

Good job nobody can see me grovelling around OR hear my language!

Nonu Fri 23-Aug-13 10:40:04

j08 Fri 23-Aug-13 10:42:17

You are so brave *Ella^! Chickens scare the life out of me. hmm

j08 Fri 23-Aug-13 10:44:08

This thread makes me feel a bit guilty! Does no one else plan to do, well, not much at all really?!

j08 Fri 23-Aug-13 10:45:23

I'd better get on and do it anyway.

Nonu Fri 23-Aug-13 10:56:33

Well, I am not doing much either unless you count watching FRANKIE at the EBOR trying to get back into group 1 on Shea Shea

grin

harrigran Fri 23-Aug-13 11:30:01

Lovely day here, DH cutting the grass and leaving me in peace. We didn't get any rain Stansgran must have been very localised.
Take care of yourself gillybob. I know that feeling when the craft box comes out, GD said " where's the glitter " ? whoops , silly Grandma forgot to buy it grin

Ella46 Fri 23-Aug-13 12:00:47

I gave them all (the chooks) a good telling off this morning jings grin
If any of them get out before tomorrow, there may be chicken soup on the menu, and I'll have to tell ds that one flew off!!
