Thank you Finocchio for recommending this thought provoking and inspiring talk.

There are many understandable reasons why people don't speak out, it has always been so, luckily oldies have more freedom and less to lose.

She delivers her talks extremely well. Yes, she's big on the conflict-avoidance / selective blindness theme in societies. Hadn't realised she'd written a book on this issue.

It's just occurred to me, having caught up with the Fracking thread that a lot of this behaviour seems to be occurring around the future of power in the UK. Hmmm........ apart from a minority of activists (I don't just mean Fracking).

She has written a book on the same subject, which I bought several years ago. It made for very thoughtful reading

Good speech. I thought it was going to be annoying when she first started, but it was worth listening to the end. Good speaker with something important to say, and saying it extremely well.
