It's getting better in East Sussex. Yesterday we had over two inches, that's five cm, of rain. Tomorrow it's the August BH French market in the nearest town. Always crowded always good.

My cat is manipulating me too.
She is nearly 20 and keeps yowling and not knowing where I am. Sometimes she doesn't seem to know where her food is, so I have to keep showing her......however, she is still eating!

Yes damp and grey here but I am very glad it has rained as I won't have to water the runner beans.

Doing history research, as I discovered some extra info yesterday about the family, and this led me to a whole lot more that has been put online by someone I was in contact with two years ago - good reason to email her again! A relative in Canada.

It's a lazy day for me, papers first, then a quick swoop into Waitrose before feeding the hens.

My ds has just sent a pic of the family having a great time on holiday, which makes wrestling with the winged escapologist worth while!

Good morning everyone, very dull here on the Moray Firth, but I think it might clear later on, very muggy. Was up at six feeding my new kitten, he decided that we had slept long enough and the day should begin forthwith. I meekly obeyed, as a good and gracious servant should.

It is a beautiful morning in Argyll. When the dew has lifted, I'll be the terrace mowing fairy. Had I more energy, I'd be the hedge fairy again too, but I'm thinking the hedge will have to do without my noisy fairy administrations today.

Thick fog here on the North East coast. The fog horn has been sounding all night long. Do hope it clears later as there is a big outdoor pop concert on in the park opposite today, pity if no one could see the stage

Grey here so far in SW France also but the sun is trying to come through. Busy day ahead - DH wants us to o to a car boot sale. Then a quick look around the market before calling in on friends. This evening we have other friends we only see every few months coming for a meal. Here was me thinking Sunday would be a quiet day!
