Stare at a reddot to make the ring disappear. It started to disappear when I did it, but didn't go completely. I guess my eye cells weren't bored enough 
Same for me logibags - it did fade a bit but as soon as I blinked it came back as bright as ever. Have we just got a high boredom threshold then?
