Has anyone seen any coxs orange pippins in shops. They're my favourite but are very hard to find the last few years. Not even the local farm shop has any. Am I a bit early for '13 harvest ??

My favourite are Worcester Pearmains, which don't keep, but I found some last week and am enjoying them so much.

I've had some Worcesters this week, but no, I haven't seen any Coxes yet. It used to be said that it wasn't worthwhile picking them until Halloween but in recent years they've been around long before that - maybe climate change?

We picked our Cox's today. Only the Egremont Russets and the crab apples left now.

My favorite is Laxtons. A double use apple firstly for cooking then eating. Our tree is quite late eater and even later this year. Keep until Christmas to.
