A lovely birthday

I was 73 today. I took whenim64, who is staying with me, for a long drive round some of my favourite beauty spots, and we had a picnic overlooking a stunning view. The sun has shone every day since she arrived on Monday. This evening, she took me to dinner in a local restaurant and we had a superb meal and a couple of glasses as Chablis.
I had pms, cards, or e-mails from most of my many grandchildren and a long phone conversation with my daughter in New Zealand and my sister in England. I had lots of good wishes from my friends and even my niece-in-law. I am replete with good food, wine, family and friendship. Thanks to everybody who remembered me.

Thanks again for all the good wishes - we are off to see a dramatic waterfall and for another view of Mont Blanc. It has been one of my best birthdays, mainly thanks to When's excellent company.

We could hardly believe our luck - the sun shone every day that When was here and we had some great days out. She is back home now and I am missing her already! Many thanks for all the lovely messages.
