A wonderful gardening day to get stuck in to slaying those dratted nettles and start cutting back some straggly perennials.

For you, gracesmum

The warmth of the sun upon your face,
A whisper of breeze, a rustle of leaves
Is a message of love from some far off place,
To cheer you. smile

On my own today as DH off to Norwich for footie! It is a lovely day here but I had to work to do this morning preparing for a short training session on Wednesday sad

However have also washed and hung out a load of towels in the sunshine
cut back the encroaching buddlia now all the flowers are done and also the chopped out a diseased bit of a ceonothus and made two trays of jam tarts!

Time for abrew & cupcake before getting the roast ready for the evening!
{{{hugs}}} to you gracesmum on this anniversary.

Morning all, a beautiful day here. The local weather forecast says it will be days rising to 27 degrees all week! Autumn and spring you can end up changing your clothes about five times a day as the temperatures go up and down.smile

Lovely here; doing another Hawk Walk this afternoon but have to admit that I'd rather watch the Arc on telly blush. The place I'm going to is at the wierdest garden centre I've ever seen [the Cold Comfort Farm of garden centres]. Sad day for you, gracesmum flowers xx

Thinking of you gracesmum ((hugs))

I'm still lying in bed reading blush

The sun is peeking through the curtains so it's time I stirred myself. I think I deserve a lie in after a week of 6am starts and another one to look forward to. That's my excuse anyway.

kittylester Sun 06-Oct-13 10:16:49

Huge ((((hugs)))) gracesmum. No wonder you had a bad day earlier in the week.

Hello NfkDumpling
A safari lunch is a fundraiser where lunch is served in 3 different houses. We go to one for a starter, down the road a couple of miles for the main course and back into the village for puds. And all that excercise between courses means when we get to the puds .....................!

kittylester Sun 06-Oct-13 09:03:10

Bright and sunny in north Leicestershire. Busy day in prospect with lots of visitors calling in to admire Lottie. Then lunch for 8 at 5pm.

Have a lovely day all. sunshine

NfkDumpling Sun 06-Oct-13 08:59:50

Glad you're settling in Mick, it sounds as if you made a good move.

It's a beautiful day here too. Cleaned the caravan - properly - yesterday ready to go into winter hibernation today. Then hope to go for a little sail (drift) to make the moat of the nice day.
What's a safari lunch tiggy?

berdie Sun 06-Oct-13 08:52:59
