I'm desperately trying to find a 2 bedroom flat in Hatfield, there is nothing suitable on the internet, so if anyone knows of anything available or about to become available please let me know. I would be really grateful.
Thank you.

I live in Welwyn Garden City and there is a great shortage of 2-bed accommodation in the area and rents are expensive including Potters Bar, St. Albans, Harpenden, Hitchin and Stevenage.
We found this when my daughter needed to move from Leicester to be closer to us. She ended up near Biggleswade as it was the only area that she could afford, unless you go to somewhere like Bedford which is probably too far out for your needs.
There are a number of letting agencies that do not necessarily post on the internet, so it might be worth while doing a bit of foot-slogging.

Thank you Safetygran.
I live in Sandy, I put my house on the market and it sold in less than 24 hours. Now I think I'm going to have to back out unless something turns up soon.

Just had a look at Rightmove and there are 25 2-bed properties to rent in Hatfield and 28 to buy. I presume you have had a look at them and they don't fit the bill? Good luck - don't lose your buyer if you can help it.

Congratulations on finding a buyer so quickly! A lot of people have the opposite problem.

If you sold through an agent I assume they are pulling out the stops to find a property for you via their contacts.

Renting in the interim is of course an option - try and do the sums. It would put you in a strong position when making an offer and you could recoup the rent money spent.

Would any of the clients on your agents list consider doing a short term let for you, someone may be glad of a short term income whilst you find something suitable it would give you a lot longer to be able to look around.best of luck.

I know of a 2 bed flat [well, one and a half bed as the second bedroom is very small] for let which is just undergoing a refurb. It's near the university on a small estate comprising houses and flats - Tudor Close. It's on with Kings estate agents. It might be useful until you find something more suited to your requirements.

Thank you one and all. Yes I have looked on Rightmove and they are either out of my price range or not suitable for one reason or another. I'm not sure I want to rent as I don't know how long it will take to find somewhere, plus, prices are beginning to rise and I feel I might get left behind financially.
I am trying to avoid the university side of Hatfield if possible, but may have a change of heart shortly.
