Roof fixed. He managed to do it this morning before it started raining again.
One side effect is that I should no longer have starlings nesting in the roof, so no bird muck on the front doorstep next year.

Quite funny except I don't dislike fog, snow, rain and always feel irritated when weather forecasters seem to assume I do.

But I noticed that even sun was called nobhead so that seems fair, no judgement on what the best weather is. grin

The reason I have been on Gransnet so much today is that I was expecting/ not expecting someone to come and fix my roof today. He did not turn up, even though I have paid him for the lead guttering.
He could have just phoned to let me know that he would not be coming because of the expected 40 mph winds. i would then have been able to tell him I did not want my roof stripped today, thank you.
The wind turbines are working, though.

Hail here this afternoon. I had just come in from showing a builder just what I wanted in the way of a new porch, so cold out there I'd come in for a coat.

Winter drawers on again.
