Good morning - damp but improving here this morning. We still have our friends here so have been very busy but doing lovely things and just chatting having a good catch up!! Hope all going well for everyone - will have a bit of a catch up while all quiet here!

Good morning everyone, grey start here too, and rain promised. Hope you had a lovely birthday yesterday Nonu, the weather here was fantastic and I hope it was for wherever you were in Sussex BAnanas. My game of bowls was completely ruined - I was playing in the pyramid comp and my opponent suddenly announced half-way through the game that he did not like competitions and was going to withdraw from this one, so would let me win (I was anyway!). Never-the-less it was lovely to be out in the beautiful sunshine. My moan is over, and hope you all have good days today.

Good Morning. Grey here too and a little misty.

Looking after the granddogs today and need to sort craft stuff for my w/end away.

East Sussex Printmiss, but love both East and West sides of Sussex. Lovely sunshine yesterday thank you, but not so good today.

Raining cats and dogs here and a sea mist so thick that the nearby hills are completely hidden. I'm expecting a furniture delivery any minute and am very glad that my hallway, stairs and landing are floorboards rather than being carpeted. Hopefully by the time they get to the bedroom the worst of the weather (mud, rain) will be off their shoes. I was out clearing leaves from the gateway at 8am, worried that the delivery men might slip on them.

Dripping and damp here - and my radiators covered with yesterday's washing, which I hate!
But slept well and going singing this afternoon!

harrigran Wed 16-Oct-13 10:03:09

We had thick fog last night and today it is grey but not raining ... yet.
Busy day today then off to collect GD after Brownies for sleepover, strike tomorrow.

Cold and windy - not yet wet - in NE Cheshire, but it does look ominous. Gardener is tackling my jungle!

kittylester Wed 16-Oct-13 11:30:31

Grey and rainy in North Leicestershire. thlsad

Having had an absolutely dreadful night's sleep where I dreamt that a young couple, dressed in black, with two toddlers, also dressed in black, were lying in wait for me in the stairwell of a car park, painted black and with no windows, I went back to bed and almost missed my 10.30 fasting blood test appointment. thlshock

If any of you can interpret dreams - I suspect that I don't want to know. thlhmm

I've just got back and had some breakfast and am now girding my loins [as it were] to go to see Mum. On Monday when I went, at about 11.30 am, she was still asleep having stayed up until 5.30am 'chatting' to the staff. thlgrin

This evening an old friend is coming for supper winewine

Hope everyone enjoys their day.

Furniture delivered and sunshine has seen off the rain and the mist. smile

annodomini Wed 16-Oct-13 11:46:56

Chucking it down now! Gardener soldiering on! I'm beginning to see through the rampant shrubs.

gracesmum Wed 16-Oct-13 14:17:20

Lining the animals up in twos as I write - now where did I put that hammer??

Could your dream have anything to do with the McCann pictures, kitty?

It's pouring down in the Lakes, which is why I've been filling in my details on Gransnet and making my first post here. I think that's a good use of a rainy day.

Gorki Wed 16-Oct-13 15:00:10

Welcome to Gransnet suede.Hope to read lots more posts from you. You live in a lovely part of the country even though it is pouring with rain. We went to the Lakes for our honeymoon in August 1972 and it poured with rain every day. We've never been back.

Gorki Wed 16-Oct-13 15:01:07

Sorry ! forgot the second "e" in you name.

Gorki Wed 16-Oct-13 15:02:05

Now I have forgotten the "r" grin

Gorki Wed 16-Oct-13 15:03:25

Actually it the third "e". Time to give up methinks.

Another lovely day here in Portugal. It might cool down next week by which time I will be in UK. It will definitely be cooler there! DD confirms that it s raining in Surrey.

Had a difficult couple of days trying to sort out my email account which some one has "tried to access.'" Unless I can do it tomorrow I have decided to wait until I'm in England when I can completely understand the language of the computer geek helping me. The thing I want to access is my newsletter.

Welcome suede, I've only visited the Lake district once, we stayed with a good friend who grew up there. An really beautiful place. We had good weather. grin

positivepam Wed 16-Oct-13 16:04:11

Well it's rain rain and more rain here, still after the good summer we have had , they will not be able to shout drought (hopefully) thlgrin

Tegan Wed 16-Oct-13 21:27:25

kitty; maybe you're thinking back to the thread where I mentioned the car park next to Rock City in Nottingham on Goth night. And I was planning to go there tonight to see Johnny Marr but went to the cinema instead so my thoughts could have been wandering around in cyberspace and you picked up on them....

suedee Fri 18-Oct-13 13:10:28

Thanks for the welcome. I think I quite like being suede instead of suedee too late now though!
