I have just met Mathilda and she is gorgeous - aren't they all? The name is even more bitter/sweet, apart from being named (Christine) for her late Nanny who passed away at the age of 46, the name Mathilda is from Roald Dhal and his stories. Chrissie used to love Roald Dhal and often read them to my DIL as a child. So the name is also in memory of her mum and my best friend. Went to Sainsbury's on way home from meeting her and there was a compilation of R.Dhal stories including Mathilda. It is her first Christmas present from us.

Yes, I had a long long cuddle and so did grandpa. She has a shock of dark hair. Mum is a bit sore to say the least from C-section. It was best for her and baby as baby was struggling a bit. She is here now though and her teenage brother and sister and thrilled to bits.
