I am fascinated by Big Foot (Sasquatch) and Yetis

My favourite shop in Southwold is - wait for it - the Hardware shop. Spend more time in there than in any other Southwold shops

yogagran Sun 20-Oct-13 22:50:14

I can do it annie ..... very useful for errant dogs or GC grin

I failed to teach either of my DC so I'm hoping that the knack has skipped a generation and that one of the GC will be able to whistle with two fingers. Eldest one is showing some promise as she can already whistle in the usual way and she's not yet five

pinkannie Sun 20-Oct-13 22:38:28

I would love to be able to do an ear splitting whistle with my fingers in my mouth. Keep trying on and off by no success! Any tips!

Pictures of my body, some topless, were shown on a HUGE screen at the Windsor Festival (music) many, many years ago as part of the background video type thing of a band that were playing. blush

I remember my gran giving me butter and sugar (both rationed) sandwiches !
Haven't thought of that for years!

Brendawymms Sun 20-Oct-13 21:54:03

I love condensed milk sandwiches. Now I wouldn't tell many people that!

What a fascinating story ga

My husband and I are both known by our middle names so when we got married we asked the minister to use those names in the wedding service. At the end of the service the attendant registrar took us into the hall at the back of the church and married us 'legally' by using our given names. Not many people know that. smile

kittylester Sun 20-Oct-13 20:14:07

Lynda, I've got a garage full of stuff that might be useful! grin

LyndaW Sun 20-Oct-13 20:11:13

kittylester Is it not? It feels like FOREVER! Keep on tripping over the thing when I go looking for something in there. And I can't say it's very attractive either but he seems to think he can rejuvenate it to its former glory. I live in anticipation... wink

In my late teens early twenties, I dressed as a pink elephant and went around holiday centres having my photo taken with holiday makers.

I have a phobia of the dentist but also a phobia of losing my teeth. My dentist is a very kind, patient man although for the next appointment he has suggested that I take diazapam the night before and a double dose the following morning so I'm well zapped by the time of the appointment grin

ninathenana Sun 20-Oct-13 18:37:36

I have a large collection of dolphins, wooden, china, glass, beanie babies ones. DD adopted one in my name a couple of 25th Dec. ago.

I didn't say the C word grin

LizG Sun 20-Oct-13 18:33:46

I've got one, thanks to anno! I love wandering around DIY stores (small) enjoying the smells of sawdust, etc. Used to work on the DIY counter in Woolworths weighing up screws and nails and loved every minute.

Flowerofthewest Sun 20-Oct-13 18:27:45

My DDH secret passion is warm bread rolls with lashings of butter and condensed milk

glammanana Sun 20-Oct-13 18:21:24

Mmmm me too Galen & warm bread rolls with lashings of alioli,I think the one thing people don't know though is about my passion to learn the banjo it is something that I have always wanted to try and do but never had the nerve to give it a go.

Galen Sun 20-Oct-13 18:01:05

I love Crustacea, especially with garlic butter

annodomini Sun 20-Oct-13 17:48:27

I love stationery shops - pens and pencils, erasers and notebooks... I try to restrain myself but I do have a lot of them lying around the house, unused or only partly used.

kittylester Sun 20-Oct-13 17:43:13

That's not very long Lynda

LyndaW Sun 20-Oct-13 17:18:05

shysal that's an interesting admission! are you a diy fanatic then?
Could do with you around our house. My OH keeps buying things he's going to 'do up' and then never gets round to it. A rescued 'antique' (haha) table is in the garage awaiting his attention (been there for about a year and a half now).

Tegan Sun 20-Oct-13 17:11:41

I love cephalopods [but I have told people before so it doesn't count..although it's difficult to slip into everyday conversations]. shysal; I wish my garage was like that; it's full of things that the ex left and I never understood why he didn't keep everything all neat and tidy. I'd give anything to have the money to give the garage a makeover. As it is I just keep the door closed and pretend it's not there.

shysal Sun 20-Oct-13 16:17:32

My favourite magazine is the Screw-Fix catalogue! I love the neat packs of nails, screws, tools etc.!

gracesmum Sun 20-Oct-13 15:47:17

smile enigmatically....

Flowerofthewest Sun 20-Oct-13 15:46:22

NOOO it wouldn't Gracesmum, you a nonny mouse on GN so it wouldn't matter.

gracesmum Sun 20-Oct-13 15:44:29

If I told you then that would defeat the object.
