I am fascinated by Big Foot (Sasquatch) and Yetis

Anne58 Wed 23-Oct-13 00:51:35

Unless you dream of custard.

|I am still on the hunt for the Sasquatch of North America. I think their was a hoax but it has been in the Native American's history for many years. I live in hope.

Old joke coming up. Q - What is yellow and dangerous?
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
A - Shark-infested custard.
Sorry, Cari.

CariGransnet (GNHQ) Tue 22-Oct-13 13:18:30

And I don't have an issue with custard creams even though I would never eat one.

CariGransnet (GNHQ) Tue 22-Oct-13 13:17:31

It's more the pouring custard especially when hot. It just makes me go all shuddery and queasy. I don't have the same reaction to cream (even though I don't like that either) or yoghurt (which I do like)

I hate the smell of cooked cheese or cheese sauce too - but that's a gagging thing rather than an unease. confused

Aka Tue 22-Oct-13 13:10:23

She can't. Someone brought in a custard slice and she's cowering in the corner.

Anne58 Tue 22-Oct-13 13:07:41

CARI Please answer!

Anne58 Tue 22-Oct-13 12:42:41

Cari please can you explain why you are frightened of custard? Were you traumatised by a trifle as a child????

Berylmaudie Tue 22-Oct-13 12:33:21

CariGransnet (GNHQ) Tue 22-Oct-13 12:26:57

Maniac Tue 22-Oct-13 12:13:25

Aka Tue 22-Oct-13 12:09:08

CariGransnet (GNHQ) Tue 22-Oct-13 12:04:27

Flowerofthewest,I thought a man confessed on his death bed he had been Big Foot? thlhmm

annodomini Mon 21-Oct-13 19:50:40

I enjoyed that programme too, Flower. Isn't the Sasquatch likely to be some kind of bear as well?

Flowerofthewest Mon 21-Oct-13 18:46:24

Mine never extends to a spotless house either shysal. Must be in the programming.

Flowerofthewest Mon 21-Oct-13 18:45:33

Re my YETI fascination - Saw a program on channel 4 last night regarding the Yeti and it was proved with DNA samples that it is a cross between a polar bear and a brown bear. This living in the high Himalayas. A bit disappointed that it isn't a primate of sorts but I still have the mystery of the SASQUATCH of North America to keep me going.

Flowerofthewest, I do understand your choice of shop. There is an old fashioned hardware place in Stow-on-the-Wold, which I always head for first! Probably even more satisfying than the aforementioned Screw-Fix catalogue! I am not an expert DIYer, but can turn my hand to some minor repairs and maintenance, as I have the necessary tools and bits and bobs.
Setting my kitchen timer has to be in multiples of 5 minutes, and volume levels of car radio etc. only even numbers! This mild OCD does not extend to a spotless house though.
I can't do the whistle, but taught GSs to burp on demand -I didn't even know I could until the request!

Flowerofthewest Sun 20-Oct-13 23:54:10

I have to do things in fives. Five drinks of tea, water etc. I suppose its a little OCD but nothing to worry about. A friend of mine used to have to touch the pillar which stood in her BILs kitchen on each side when she arrived and when she left. Very stressful for her

pinkannie I use four fingers (both index and middle) to push the tip of my tongue up and back, a little - then blow. It can be very useful!

Flowerofthewest Sun 20-Oct-13 22:57:50

Take your teeth out thlgrin

My dad used to make us cocoa with hot buttered toast, which we dipped in the cocoa. MMMMMMMMMMMM. memories. I still do it now and then to my DDH dismay (and him with hot buttered condensed milk rolls - not so much at all now since cardiac arrest)
