Good questions

I agree with you goldengirl it is irritating when a television interviewer asks a question, and then cuts in on the answer; I am always saying "for goodness sake, let them answer!". After all if the question is worth asking, it must be worth an answer, and I think all the points made by you ffinniochio are good ones.

It does depend on who is speaking - some people seem to have a gift of imparting information clearly and concisely which means you don't need to ask questions. Others on the other hand are so muddled that you end up more confused than when they started!

I remember answering questions but never asking them. Interesting point ffinnochio. Mind you on television these days interviewers ask questions and don't listen to the answers. I find it irritating when they keep interrupting someone's point of view eg on the Today programme.

Did anyone watch Channel 4 news last night and the 'debate' about the Hijab? This was a case of questions being asked but the answers were lost in the melee of opinion
