I answered the entry phone this morning to let the meter reader in.
When I went to get the post there was a card from him saying: sorry you weren't in when we called to read your meter. We will call again Friday.
Confused of Westcliff here. LOL

For two years, meter readers called on behalf of Britsh Gas, with whom I had dual fuel. They would ask to read the electricity meter, and insist they only had instructions for that one, not the gas meter sitting one foot away in the same cupboard. I made those phone calls....'oh sorry, we'll sort it out.' I sent emails....'sorry, we'll sort it out. Here's a questionnaire - how did we do? Were we polite? Did we solve your query?'

No, British Gas, you bloody didn't!

I swapped to SSE, fixed just before the price hike.

This week I had two emails from Britush Gas. 'Can we have a meter reading?' What's the betting, when I get a response to my email, they ask me 'how did we do?' Grrrr!

I input my meter readings every month or so but they still call once or twice a year to take the readings.. Scottish Power that is. I fixed my tariff till April so at least a respite from a price rise for 6mths.
