I found this sentence the most fascinating thing about the article!

Ana, having read the article I think the phrase
"Like most Guardian readers, I am very keen to do what I'm told at all times.", is said tongue in cheek and means the exact opposite. Anyway, here are some of my suggestions:

Read Harry Potter, or Bridget Jones,
Watch 'Breaking Bad, or Broadchurch, or any crime and mystery series on television, or Coronation Street, East Enders, the list is endless.
Go on a wildlife safari

No doubt more will occur to me over the next few days.
