gratefulgran You do get a sense of achievement don't you?
When I got home from Lakeland
better than a sweet shop, I felt obliged to do some dusting and vacuuming, so I feel quite virtuous now!
Oh Lona, poor you. Been really lucky here in the SE today. Few clouds dotted about, but on the whole sunny with a bit of a chill. Managed to get my gardens cut, weeded and tidies though, so it can do what it likes now
Has anyone got an Ark to spare please?
Stair rods all day!!
Bright and sunny here, looks cold but I haven't been out yet. DH safely back in Portugal leaving me here on my own with the family for another ten days. Such hardship
Seeing an old friend at lunch time for an afternoon of chat and laughter.
Safe journeyBez and have a lovely time with the family.
Bright and sunny here in Mid-Sussex.
Been a busy bunny already today with more to do.
Done my GS sitting for the day, been to oldest DS to collect his lawn-mower (petrol) as my little electric one can't cope with wet grass, and it needs doing. Also nicked some roof tacks off him to deal with the bit of roof felt flapping on my shed. Determined to make the most of the weather and get garden sorted for the winter, thank goodness for half-term and a few days off huh?
And if the weather takes a turn again, it will give me the chance to empty the bedroom out, in order to lay a carpet ready for the cold weather (horrible old council ceramic floor tiles in there).
Be glad to get back to school next week for a rest
Have a great trip Bez
Gagagran whereabouts are you? We have the same problem with them wanting to put another 70-odd houses in our tiny village, been lots of meetings and most of us not happy at all, but fear it may happen
Some lovely mornings mentioned, sunny here too.
Taking DGS to Bristol, later, to catch his train home. We've had a good time and spent enough to account for several Birthdays and Ch ........ better not type that word!
Bon voyage Bez, I was rattling around Cardiff on Sat. The OG and DGS were at the Rugby!
Gally envying your view!
Gagagran we formed a group and were successful until 'they' wanted to build a hospital then we had to desist as it would have looke 'nimby-ish'. But we have saved 2 of the 3 fields.... for now! Isn't there a rule about newts especially if they are the crested variety?
Oops
Bright and breezy in the East Midlands but not very warm and with a few clouds being blown across the sky.
Enjoy your trip and visit bez. We, too, are off to see two of our DGDs though only to Hemel Hempstead! Lottie is one month old now

Bez Bon Voyage - and enjoy every minute with your family
Beautiful day here as well glass - this weather is a great lifter of spirits.
Lovely day here - bright blue sky and sunny but chilly after all the recent mild weather. Just about to hang out the bed sheets after turning the mattress to the winter side.
This afternoon we are going to an exhibition of what the planning department have come up with to fill the beautiful fields opposite our house with 140 new houses despite a lot of local opposition. Do we have a voice any more? I think not. If the council turns down the application the developers will go to appeal and some jobsworth from London will come down and say "Yes you can - go ahead" So the wild life (deer, newts, bats, birds) will be homeless, the roads will be more crowded. the green lung will be lost and good agricultural land will be lost for ever. I despair.
It looks like summer outside, light blue sky and sunshine. A tad different from yesterday in my part of NW London.
Another glorious day in Fife. My view over the Forth towards Edinburgh is magical
Good morning all, rain overnight and now bright and breezy.
Bez enjoy your holiday with your family, have a good flight.
Reddevil I have sent you another pm, hope you are ok.
OGM will catch up with you soon.

Good morning all, and have a lovely holiday Bez, can't imagine how excited you must be. The south east coast is bright and cold this morning, really chilly, in fact. We are off to Amberley Museum today to volunteer for a couple of hours, the other half can't do more than that in the cold weather, and doesn't drive in the dark any more, so we shall leave at about two pm. This will be our last day this year, as the print shop takes ages to warm up, and the old bones no longer like the cold. (The Museum will close this week until Santa Fund Days in December) We shall look forward to going again next year. We played our first game of short mat bowls yesterday afternoon, and lost, which is not unexpected, but met up with some old friends and had a lovely tea. If the weather is fine where you are, hope you are able to enjoy the outdoors. in any case, enjoy your days, everyone.
Have a great time Bez
A very dreary day here, it was hard to justify getting out of bed!
