I think the last week or so has shown the power of social media, long may it continue.
Many members have posted with regard to it's positive benefits, and of course the down side, with regard to hoaxers, intrusive media etc. (Although there were many wise posts about the media involvement coming at a price)
I'm not entirely sure where I am going with this post, just wanted to praise and thank all those who used this wonderful thing to try to help and support others, but also to say that like any "new" and powerful thing, it should be used in a circumspect (?) and cautious/thoughtful way.

I'm now very twitchy when it comes to what I call 'social intrusion', so there are many things I would have liked to share this week with my gransnetter friends, but just the thought of the press sniffing round has stopped me in my tracks.
