Today I've contacted two more builders and both have responded, one is coming Monday to have a look and give an estimate. (Fingers crossed.)

Allie it's no good trying to work with a builder you don't like, I hope you get a good one. Will it be good for you that your neighbour has contacted the Labour leader?

Fairly bright but not sunny, here in Oxon. I had a good sleep, which I haven't much recently. Feel better. (I've had a colitis flare-up.)

I have to find another builder or builders to give me an estimate on my gutters, since the last started off by suggesting 5K.....I got him down a bit, but didn't like the way he went about it, as before this he was insisting on adding an extra downpipe which no-one else in the road has.....I didn't take to him, and when I feel like that, it's time to stop.

Back to square one.
By the way the council has had a wakeup call about next door, as my neighbour called the labour leader....

Lovely calm sunny morning in Fife after extraordinary weather last evening. High winds, heavy rain, sleet and hail for a couple of hours - at one point I ran to the back of the house as it sounded as if a ton of sand had landed on the kitchen roof

A migraine is threatening, but I am having lunch with an old friend at a country pub, and tonight I'm at the Bridgewater Hall, (Halle) for, amongst other pieces, the Bruch violin concerto, which is one of my favourites, so I'm hoping the headache doesn't develop.

Morning I will probably never post on this forum again because I am off and out by 7 mon-thurs and Fridays I have my 3 little G.C. I normally collect them but today my DiL is bringing them to me so I have a lazy Friday morning well at least until 9.30 when all hell breaks loose. It's mild and a little overcast here in Kent. I hope you feel better soon mick. Morning to the rest of you And a special good morning to you sewsilver off to a ball park later I will be really worn out by the evening.
