My goodness I seem to have descended into a can of worms. I have been taking a leading role in a drama called The National Horror Show (affectionately known as NHS). After almost two years struggling with several post-op problems, hopefully I am getting better.
As for several months I could not get to my computer - which is upstairs. My son gave me an iPad and I decided to try and blog. I always get The Oldie and felt that the Oldie Borum sounded good. I did post one blog and was quite thrilled to get 5 replies. The next day I logged in but went to Gransnet by mistake and there was correspondence on a similar topic. I am now aware that I have suffered from some dreaded disease called 'threads'. I am a grandparent myself and assumed that Gransnet related to topics only grandparents would want to read.
It all seems very mysterious to me. Since retirement I have used computer systems for the charity I am involved in. Ironically I was a teacher who taught subjects which involved using a computer suite every lesson. As an aside I remember my first computer lesson to some graduates when we discussed programmed washing machines, the only computer most of us owned. We teachers can get it wrong sometimes - I informed them when they reached my age there would be hardly any paper!!??
None of them asked or about or ever mentioned THREADS.
