New Grandson

Congratulations! I have 3 DGDs and gained a DGS 7 weeks ago. My DiL has an ileostomy and virtually no large intestine. She had a C Section and was home within 48 hours. I agree it does seem too short a time. Remember the good old days when, if you were lucky enough to get into a nursing home, you were there for ten whole days!

I saw him last night and he's gorgeous.

I got a text this morning from my DD saying that they were sending her home today - 24 hrs of a C section!! In view of her health problems (heart condition) I asked what her consultants thought of it.

Great minds. A little later I got another text saying that her consultants said that she had to stay in until tomorrow - phew!

Still seems a very short time after abdominal surgery to release someone, especially with a medical problem.

Got the piccie. Beautiful!! Leaving in about 30 minutes to go to the hospital to visit.

I am lucky that they live 10 minutes away from me and I will be spending Christmas (and doing the cooking!!) with them.

My DD1 lives in Luxembourg and has two boys and I will be visiting them for New Year.

Lovely news!!! Our DD3 was born on 19th November and her older sisters were all set to put her in the Church Nativity Crib !! Hope your little DGS escapes that - but what a lovely Christmas it will be for you all
