Good Morning Thursday

Grey morning here. High cloud even over the distant sea. There's no wind but it feels colder than the 10.7 C it is outside because of the complete absence of sun. Hope everyone has a good day.

A bit uncertain here, I think the sun is trying to break through, but the clouds are winning at the moment. I have spent the past 15 minutes doing some grovelling, went to the bowls club yesterday where we have two padlocks, one for the main gate and one for the door. I put the main gate one on the door, and the door one on the gate, both different numbers. I knew something was wrong, because we tried to get into the pavilion after we had locked it, but could not open it with the usual number - didn't occur to us we had mixed the padlocks up. Naughty girl, so my other half is going to have to buy the member involved with locks, a drink at the mens lunch. Hey ho! as they say. Had a lovely game of bowls though yesterday afternoon, I played brilliantly, not sure why. Ironing beckons - enjoy your days everyone.

Cloudless blue sky and sun in S Devon..bit a bit parky!

It's grey in North Leicestershire but we had heavy rain overnight.

Sainsbury's yet again and a visit to mum today but then DD1 is coming for dinner and to stay the night. She is on a 2 day course nearby and decided to stay with us rather than drive home. We rarely get to see her without her DH or the children so it will be a real treat. .

Relatively calm here on the North East coast after a night of heavy rain, sleet, hailstones and lightening flashing across the sea.

Good morning all. Cold and dismal weather. However have got my appointment to the Rapid Eye Clinic today so will know if I need surgery or not. I'm hoping for surgery as it will finalise and hopefully solve, continuing problem. Will let you know tomorrow.

Clear to the north (at the moment), cloudy – and building – to the south and west (at the moment). If the breeze get up like yesterday, anything might happen yet . Temperature outside kitchen window 2.7°C.

Morning mick, same here in kent grey and damp, good no frost for my biker hubby hope it stays this way till he gets his car. Hope the your DH op was a success gracemum. Thanks everyone for keeping fingers crossed for the bike journey. Off to work now. Team leader coming in today not sure if I'm goin to let rip or keep shtum
