The newsletter contains pictures of the winning design for the GN tea towel. Which gran would you say you are ?

I am the one at the end that you can't see, since becoming a pensioner I have become invisible.

harrigran I hope that was tounge in cheek. If not it's sad you feel like that

My tea towel arrived this week, I am pleased with the quality. It has pride of place hanging in my kitchen, but will not be used! I would like to think I am closest in nature and looks to the 'kindly' one with curly hair (mine is not a Granny perm though - think Nadia Sawalha).
Any one else purchased one yet?

Mine have arrived too and they are a good size and clear print. Well pleased! One is for DDiL and the other for DD - little extra in the stockings and useful. I'll let them decide which one is me! grin

I have not seen it and would possibly return to sender if I was given one as a Christmas present.

My dishwasher does not need a stack of tea towels in constant use.

Ah but family traditions prevail Charleygirl and I am relied upon as the supplier of NEW ones! (You would quail at the sight of the ones currently in use!)

Charleygirl Fri 29-Nov-13 10:05:25

Gagagran, perhaps it is better if I stay here and do not visit your family or I may run out of the door screamimg. You are certainly doing a sterling job if you are relied upon to supply new ones each year.

Just ordered two

I'm a mixture of kindly, naughty and plump gran!

It seems to depend upon the time of day. At bedtime it is the traditional and during the day the more exciting or silly the better but we leave it to them to choose what they want and when they want to be read to. They have plenty of choice of all types and their parents and us are of the opinion that you can never have too many books!

Nonnie Fri 29-Nov-13 13:38:17

Wrong thread! supposed to be on the books one! Think I need chocolate.

Brendawymms Fri 29-Nov-13 13:56:19

Anyone able to point me towards the link to buy a tea towel or two please?

Brendawymms Fri 29-Nov-13 13:56:57

Found it. I'm so silly. It's an age thing.

Galen Fri 29-Nov-13 13:58:23

Bought mine!

Versavisa Fri 29-Nov-13 16:45:37

Mine arrived very quickly thank you, and I love the design.

I have got one for myself and one each for my daughters. They are the mothers of my granddaughters (no grandsons yet, in case you think I'm being sexist) and for years I have received tea towels with the GDs' faces, drawings or handprints on. (Much too good to use, or is that just me?)

So now I can return the gift and my GDs can enjoy deciding which of the Grans on the tea towel is me. I can only hope I agree with their choice!
