Houses of Parliament Tour

You used to be able to just go in and look around during their summer break.
We went once with the whole family, up to the Visitor's Gallery.
Edward Heath was behind us with some visitors (not that I was a fan of his.)
I don't expect you can do that now, with all the added security.

You only have to book the free ones through an mp, just to be clear. It was great so do go and worth it even if you have to p.ay.

Thanks Kitty, I'm another one who was interested in your visit. DH wasn't allowed go on the school trip (too expensive) many years ago and would love to go now. I'm obviously a bit dim as it had never occurred to me that we could go as adults.

Yes, they seem to be Mon, Tues & Wed mornings and Friday afternoon.

A UK resident has to book the tour through an MP but you can take overseas guests - I took an American friend. It's a great tour - extremely interesting and informative and yes Kitty quite gossipy!

If you book it through your MP, very easy to do, it's free of charge for UK residents. Don't pay!
