I've just finished watching this on BBC iPlayer. Inspiring.

She did a Q&A a while ago for us if anyone is interested.. www.gransnet.com/webchats/judith-kerr

I'd recorded it and watched it last night. What a fantastic lady! And I too was impressed by her sprint up the stairs; she's almost 30 years old than I am and I can't do that. I was also impressed by the way she reverted to German when visiting her previous home in Berlin. A very down to earth lady. Has she been 'gonged' at all with an OBE or anything? She's an example of making the most of life in spite of what it has thrown at her. The fact that her mother only just got them out of Germany made shivers down my spine - especially as the following programme I watched was on the archaelogical dig at Treblinka.

I really liked this programme, it was the very opposite of a misery memoir and could have been so different. I particularly liked her comments on The Sound of Music ( wasn't even the Von Trapp family's real experience!) and yes, nannyfran the speed of getting upstairs. Really impressive.

I love the Mog books, as did my children. Can't wait 'til GD is old enough for me to read them to her.
What an incredible woman she is, I wish I could get up stairs like that!

Watching it. I remember reading When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit to DD2 when she had measles.
